조계종삼화불교 G20세계정상회의 성공발원 불교 법회에 총무원장 혜인스님과 여러분들께 감사합니다. 

1. mountain is mountain, water is water
산은 산이요 물은 물이다

2. no mountain, no water
산도 없고, 물도 없다

3. mountain is mountain, water is water
산은 산이요, 물은 물이다 

1,2,3 same or different?
1,2,3 같은것인가? 다른것인가?

If you say same I will hit you 30 Times
If you say different I will hit you 30 times
1,2,3 이 만약 같다 해도 30방을 때리고 다르다 해도 30방을 때리겠습니다.

Why 9×9=81
왜냐하면 9×9=81입니다.

Truth is just now, not past and future.
진리는 현재 이순간이지, 과거도 아니고 미래도 아닙니다.

So we have to do ask who am I?
그래서 우리는 되돌려(회광반조) 나는 누구인가를 의심해야 합니다.

If you don't understand, I will give you one word.
만약 이 도리를 모르면 한마디 하겠습니다.

We have to find pole-star seeing the south
남쪽을 보면서 북극성을 찾으라 하겠습니다.

Sugar is sweet, Salt is salty.
Our buddha nature is understanding and knowing
설탕은 달고 소금은 짠것이요.
우리의 성품(불성)은 자각하고 아는 것입니다.

Don't make our buddha nature dirty.
also our nature is pure and clear.
it does not depend on Life and death.
우리의 마음자리의 성품을 더럽히지 말라
우리의 성품은 깨끗하고 맑아서 생과사에 관계하지 않는다.

So when we bow, ask who am I?
When we chant, also ask who am I?
We already have completely enlightment.
우리가 절할때나, 염불할때도 나는 누구냐 하면
우리는 깨달음에 이미 완성된 것입니다.
